Our Mission
The Lupus Foundation of Virginia, Inc. is a non-profit 501(C)(3) volunteer health Organization that was founded in 1979 in order to accomplish the following objectives:
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Focus both lay and professional attention on this widespread, but diagnostically elusive and little understood disease
- Support and stimulate research to help speed the discovery of the cause and cure of Lupus Erythematosus
