CHARLOTTESVILLE CHAPTER NEWS
Our  Charlottesville Chapter continues to work on behalf of all who suffer with lupus in their  geographical area.  Alexa Farber , President, is a busy lady, yet she finds time to stay in contact with those who have joined their chapter.  Due to the fact they are a fairly new chapter and the Executive Board Members are patients, they have done  well!  They need more volunteers.  Do you live in that area and  would be willing to donate some time or are you willing to attend their meetings?  Let us hear from you via patient information line at (888)262-9632 and we will pass the information along to Alexa.  Alexa has lupus and works a full time job.

WILLIAMSBURG—PENINSULA CHAPTER NEWS

ROANOKE VALLEY CHAPTER NEWS
Well, you all should know that Roanoke Valley Chapter is alive and well!

They have three Health Fairs and an Expo scheduled as well as their “Annual Fund Raising Dinner “ to be held in October. Date, time, and place will be announced later. Our sincere condolences to Margaret in the demise of her sister, Thelma, in January of this year. Margaret was faithful to her sister during her extensive illness prior to her death.

TRI-CITIES CHAPTER NEWS
Our Tri-Cities Chapter, servicing Colonial Heights, and Petersburg is busy with events dating back to April 11th when Vanessa Scott, President, presented a presentation to Zion Baptist Church, in Petersburg to Foster Grandparents about her personal struggle with lupus. Believe me, folks, Vanessa has struggled, however, she is like the “ever ready battery” as she just keeps on going!
